Enjoying the Summer

I think this picture of Leo is my new fav!

Haircut

August 15th marked 8 months and what better way to celebrate than with a haircut! It's been bugging me for weeks and I finally got up the courage to do it. He had this great little combover happening and I hated to get rid of it but it was just getting messy and really really looked like a combover! So I just cut off the really long part on top and I have to say it doesn't look half bad!

Playing Ball

Every time I watched this video I literally laugh out loud! Whenever Leo gets really excited about something that wrist just goes crazy! As you can see in this video it really gets going! We can't help but roll in laughter. We hope this brightens your day as much as it does ours!

**For those of you who are wondering why there is a snowman in this video knowing that it was shot in August, let me tell you a funny story! That snowman is our Christmas Countdown Calendar and is also one of Leo's favorite toys! I forgot to pack it away with all of the other Christmas decorations and it's just been hanging on our back door all year. Well Leo decided that he LOVES the snowman! It has travelled with us to Grandma's house and even to Great Grandma and Grandpa's house because he couldn't leave home without it! He has since been a little better about only playing with it at home but he sure does love his snowman!! I'll be sure to be careful what I leave out this Christmas!

Just keep swimming...

Every year the LeMaster family has a big summer birthday party to celebrate all the birthdays that fall between June and August (which I think is more than half)! We all met up at my Uncle Craig's on July 31st for a pool party! This was Leo's first time swimming and we couldn't wait! The pictures turned out great and the video's are priceless! Enjoy!

Grandma and Leo!

"Dad! Mom's trying to take my picture!"
Grandpa and Auntie Hope weren't ready for the picture but Leo sure was!

Look at that proud dad!

It was a slam dunk! I just took the picture a second too early!

"Give me the camera mom!"

Wrinkled toes!

Our happy family!

Bath Time

Leo is now 7 months old! I can finally trust him sitting up on his own so we gave him his first bath that wasn't just running water. He loved it! He was kicking and splashing and smiling and having a great time... until I got out the camera! I took a couple short videos but I guess he got camera shy because he quit as soon as he saw the camera. However, I did manage to catch a few pictures!

Compound W

On the night of July 14th, I was already in bed almost asleep when I heard a very worried yell "Oh no!" from Kenny in the bathroom. I jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom to find Kenny with his face under the faucet. In what can only be described as the craziest freak accident ever, Kenny had gotten Compound W (wart remover) in his left eye! He was applying the liquid to a wart on his thumb when the bottle tipped over and rolled off the counter. He was looking down at it when it hit the title and rocketed out of the bottle into his face! We were both pretty frightened. He just kept thinking of how acidic this stuff is and knowing what it does to warts he was afraid of what was happening to his eye. After he flushed it for a good 15 minutes we were able to get out his contact and I started scraping the Compound W off his face. So he was quite overwhellmed by the pain and decided to rest a while to see if it would get any better on its own. Within a few hours we were on our way to the emergency room. The doctor gave him some numbing eye drops so he could open his eye and the doctor could inspect the damage. The inside of his eyelids were coated with Compound W and it was floating around in his eye. The doctor was able to get it all out and told us his contacts had literally saved his cornea from any damage. Around the cornea and onto his eyelid he had a chemical burn which healed fine after a few days. I debated whether or not to include a picture (yes, of course, I took pictures) and decided it was a must! Stop reading now if you'd rather not see it!

This was about 12 hours after the freak accident.
